Al Quoz is where Dubai actually makes and stores things. Warehouses, workshops, fabrication units, showrooms, and a well-known cluster of galleries and studios. Most of what we do here is commercial.
It is also, from a moving point of view, one of the easiest areas in the city — the roads were built for lorries, the units have loading bays, and nothing about the vehicle access needs negotiating.
The inventory is the job
For a warehouse move the lifting is the simple part. What decides whether the move went well is whether the count matches at the far end, because a pallet nobody can locate is, for accounting purposes, a pallet that never arrived.
So stock is counted out as it loads and counted in as it is delivered, against one shared list, and you get both counts. Loose stock is palletised and wrapped first, which turns forty chances to lose something into one countable unit.
Keeping the business running
Most businesses here cannot close for two days. So we phase it: slow lines first, fast lines last out and first in, with despatch running from one unit or the other throughout. Racking goes up before any stock goes back on it.
Galleries and studios
The creative units around Alserkal are a particular case. We handle the furniture, fittings, storage, crates and office contents perfectly well. Individual artworks of real value need purpose-built crating from a fine-art handler — we will say so and work alongside them, rather than wrapping a painting in a moving blanket and hoping.
Where we stop on machinery
Benches, tooling and light equipment are ours. Fixed plant that is bolted to the floor, levelled, or needs commissioning is a rigging contractor’s work. Saying that at the site visit is considerably more useful than discovering it with a crane already booked.
Nearby
Al Barsha is minutes away for the residential side, Umm Ramool is the other main industrial district, and Jebel Ali and Dubai Investments Park (DIP) are the usual destinations for a business moving to a larger unit.

Studio and small one-bedroom moves within Dubai generally start around AED 500, and the figure climbs with the volume of furniture, the number of rooms, whether packing is included, and how the two buildings are accessed. Access is the part people underestimate: a ground-floor villa with the truck on the driveway is a different job from a fourth-floor walk-up in International City with a 60-metre carry. We would rather look at your rooms than guess — send photos on WhatsApp and you will get a real number rather than a range.
Four things, in roughly this order of impact. Volume — how much there is to carry, which is what decides crew size and how many truck runs it takes. Access at both ends — lift or stairs, how far the truck can park from the door, and whether a service lift has to be booked. Services — packing, dismantling, reassembly and unpacking each add labour and time. And timing — a move that has to happen tomorrow, or on a Friday evening, costs more than one booked with a week of notice.
Materials are included in the quote — cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, tape and paper. You do not need to buy anything or collect boxes from a supermarket. If you would rather pack your own clothes and books to keep the cost down and leave us the kitchen, glass and electronics, that is a normal way to split it and we will price it that way.
