The terms that apply to quotes, bookings and moves.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms apply between you and [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], trade licence [TRADE LICENCE NUMBER], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS], Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you give us and, where one takes place, on our survey of the property. A quote is valid for [VALIDITY PERIOD] from the date it is issued.

Our price can change only where the job differs materially from what was quoted — for example a significant volume of items that were not disclosed or visible at the survey, access at either address that differs from what we were told, or additional services requested on the day. Where that happens we will tell you before carrying out the additional work, not afterwards.

3. Booking

A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing and pay any deposit we ask for. A deposit of [DEPOSIT AMOUNT OR PERCENTAGE] is required to hold a date.

4. Payment

The balance is payable [PAYMENT TERMS]. We accept [ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS].

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule by giving us notice:

More than [NOTICE PERIOD] before the move: [CANCELLATION TERMS]
Less than [NOTICE PERIOD] before the move: [CANCELLATION TERMS]

If we have to cancel or reschedule, we will tell you as soon as we know and refund any deposit in full.

6. What you are responsible for

Giving us accurate information about the property, its contents and the access at both addresses
Obtaining the tenancy documents, NOCs and any refundable deposits your building or community requires from you as the tenant or owner
Being present, or nominating someone who is, at both addresses
Carrying your own passports, identity documents, cash, jewellery and medication rather than putting them in a carton
Telling us in advance about anything unusually heavy, fragile or valuable
Ensuring nothing prohibited under clause 7 is included

7. What we do not move

Flammable, explosive or pressurised items, including gas cylinders, paint, thinners and aerosols in quantity
Illegal items or substances
Perishable food, live plants and animals
Cash, jewellery, documents and other high-value portable items, which should travel with you

We also do not disconnect or reconnect gas appliances, air-conditioning units, water heaters or anything else hard-wired or plumbed into the building. These require a certified technician.

8. Liability

[This clause must be reviewed by a lawyer before publication and must reflect the insurance you actually hold. Do not publish a liability position you cannot honour.]

Our liability for loss or damage to your goods while in our care is [LIABILITY POSITION AND LIMITS].

Any loss or damage should be reported to us [CLAIM NOTIFICATION PERIOD], and wherever possible before our crew leaves the property.

We are not liable for:

Items packed by you, where the damage results from how they were packed
Electrical or mechanical failure of an appliance where there is no external damage
Damage to items that were already damaged, or inherently fragile and disclosed as such
Particle-board and flat-pack furniture that does not survive a second dismantling, where we advised you of the risk beforehand
Delay caused by circumstances outside our control, including building management, traffic, weather or road closures

9. Delays and access

Arrival times are estimates. Where a delay is caused by access we were not told about, or by a building permit or lift booking that is not in place on the day, additional waiting time may be charged at [WAITING RATE].
