Low-rise clusters, stair carries
Movers in Discovery Gardens, Dubai
Discovery Gardens is the western equivalent of International City: low-rise themed clusters where a good share of the buildings have no service lift, studios and one-bedrooms dominate, and turnover is high enough that short-notice moves are routine.
Same-day and next-day are usually available. This is a high-turnover area and we are set up for it.

Move permits in Discovery Gardens
Buildings here are managed but the process is light — most want notice rather than a formal permit package, though some ask for the standard documents. The real constraint is where the truck can stop, since the buildings sit among landscaping rather than directly on a road. A photograph of your entrance and the nearest vehicle access saves the crew real time.
Discovery Gardens works much like International City does on the other side of the city: low-rise clusters, a lot of walk-ups, small flats and high turnover.
The moving implications are the same. Everything is carried, the floor number is the main cost variable, and short-notice bookings are normal rather than exceptional.
The landscaping problem
One thing that is specific to here. The buildings sit among landscaped gardens rather than fronting directly onto a road, which is pleasant to live with and awkward to load from — there is frequently a carry between the nearest legal parking and your entrance.
It is not a large distance, but it applies to every single carton, and repeated eighty times it adds up. A photograph of your entrance and the closest point a vehicle can stop lets us plan the shortest route in advance.
Which floor
The question that decides the quote. Most buildings here are around ground plus four with no service lift, and a fourth-floor flat is meaningfully more work than a first-floor one. We ask; anyone who does not ask has not priced your job.
Finding the building
Cluster names and building numbering here are not navigation-app friendly. A pin dropped on WhatsApp gets the crew to the right entrance first time.
Short notice
Turnover is high, and a large share of our work here is booked within the same week. A studio or one-bedroom is the size most likely to fit into a day that is already partly committed, so ring rather than message if the move is urgent.
Nearby
Al Furjan is immediately adjacent and the most common upgrade destination, The Gardens shares a border, and Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) is a short run inland.
What we usually move in Discovery Gardens
- Low-rise buildings of around ground plus four across the themed clusters
- Many buildings with no service lift; some with small passenger lifts only
- Studios and one-bedroom flats forming the large majority
- Some two-bedroom units in the larger clusters
- High tenant turnover, so short-notice moves are normal
Access and logistics
- Many buildings are walk-ups — assume everything is carried unless you know otherwise
- Parking within the clusters is shared and busy, particularly in the evenings
- Buildings are set among landscaping, so the truck may not reach the entrance directly
- Cluster and building numbering is hard to navigate — a photo of your entrance helps
- Ground-floor access is generally step-free where it exists

Services we offer in Discovery Gardens
Moving in Discovery Gardens — common questions
Many do not, and where there is one it is usually a small passenger lift rather than a service lift. Plan on everything being carried. As with any walk-up area, we ask which floor you are on before quoting — a fourth-floor flat and a first-floor flat are different jobs and any quote that has not asked is not a real quote.
Not always to the door. The buildings sit among landscaped areas rather than fronting directly onto a road, so there is often a carry from wherever the vehicle can legally stop. Sending us a photo of your entrance and the nearest vehicle access lets us plan the shortest route rather than discovering it on the day.
Usually. Studios and one-bedrooms at short notice are exactly the jobs that fit into a partly-booked day, and turnover here is high enough that we get these calls constantly. Ring rather than message if it is today.

Studio and small one-bedroom moves within Dubai generally start around AED 500, and the figure climbs with the volume of furniture, the number of rooms, whether packing is included, and how the two buildings are accessed. Access is the part people underestimate: a ground-floor villa with the truck on the driveway is a different job from a fourth-floor walk-up in International City with a 60-metre carry. We would rather look at your rooms than guess — send photos on WhatsApp and you will get a real number rather than a range.
Four things, in roughly this order of impact. Volume — how much there is to carry, which is what decides crew size and how many truck runs it takes. Access at both ends — lift or stairs, how far the truck can park from the door, and whether a service lift has to be booked. Services — packing, dismantling, reassembly and unpacking each add labour and time. And timing — a move that has to happen tomorrow, or on a Friday evening, costs more than one booked with a week of notice.
Materials are included in the quote — cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, tape and paper. You do not need to buy anything or collect boxes from a supermarket. If you would rather pack your own clothes and books to keep the cost down and leave us the kitchen, glass and electronics, that is a normal way to split it and we will price it that way.
